Contributions

In order to send the Jizos and the people delivering them to Japan on the Jizos for Peace pilgrimage, we still need to raise funds.

If you’re not going on the pilgrimage yourself, please consider sponsoring a priest. The seven priests in residence at Great Vow Zen Monastery depend entirely on donations for their basic needs. They have been working hard on the Jizos for Peace project for the past two years and our hope is that we can send them to Japan as ambassadors of peace, to hand deliver the Jizos to the Japanese people.

Contributions are also needed for shipping costs, contributing art supplies to prisons and schools, providing the peace curriculum to educators, documenting the project for future peace education, and much more.

If you have made a Jizo panel, we invite you to make a donation of at least $15 for each panel.

Contributions can now be made on the web through our secure ZenWorks account, using Paypal or your credit card. They can also be made by check, cash, or money order (made out to Great Vow Zen Monastery). Please contact us if you have any questions.
