As a painter, he is the pioneer of the genre of "one stroke painting" as well as the creator of multi-color Ensos (Zen circles). As a calligrapher he creates large single-ideograph pieces. Kaz's brushwork has been shown in solo-exhibitions in galleries, museums, and universities all over the world. Kaz is a fellow of World Academy of Art and Science, and his publications include Brush Mind, Miracles of the Moment, Penetrating Laughter: Hakuin's Zen and Art, and Enlightenment Unfolds. Kaz offers yearly calligraphy workshops at Great Vow Zen Monastery. Kaz will be traveling to Japan on the Jizos for Peace pilgrimage. He actively supports Jizos for Peace and has generously donated these paintings to raise funds for the project. (more information about Kaz at http://www.brushmind.net/) All proceeds go directly to benefit Jizos for Peace
